Adapted and directed by SD Director of Educational Tours Marco E. Salinas, All the World’s a Stage! is a compilation of works from many of Shakespeare’s plays. Included in this fast paced dynamic 45-minute program are scenes from Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo & Juliet. This lively performance is an exploration of the creation of a Shakespearian play, from audition to performance. Students will learn about how actors work on Shakespeare’s text, stage combat and clowning through demonstration. Volunteers will also be selected during the performance to help demonstrate what they are learning to the audience. An ensemble of four portray such memorable characters as Pyramus and Thisbe, Titania, Bottom and the star crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet. Although scenes used in this production are abridged, the language remains pure Shakespeare! This is an excellent opportunity to give young students their first taste of The Bard. And the best part is, all you have to do is book us! We'll take care of the rest!
